Origin Adjacent sides of the tendon of FDL (Flexor Digitorum Longus)
Insertion Base of proximal phalanx via dorsal digital expansion (extensor aponeurosis/hood) of digit 2 – 5
Innervation toe 1: Medial plantar nerve

toes 2-4: Lateral plantar nerve

Nerve Root 1 toe: L5-S1

2 toes -4: S2-S3

Artery medial and lateral plantar arteries
